His Majesty Sultan Hassanal Bolkiah of Brunei, arrived on Wednesday in Muscat, starting an official state visit to Oman.
Upon arrival at the royal private airport, he was warmly welcomed by His Majesty Sultan Qaboos bin Said Al-Said.The visit was marked by the launch of a joint 100 million dollar investment fund, official news agency ONA reported.
The fund, which will be equally shared between the two states and based in Muscat, is aimed at fostering investment opportunities in the two countries in the commercial, industrial and tourism sectors.
The visit to Oman is part of Sultan of Brunei’s current tour of a number of countries in the region.
